Rail in New Hampshire is Within Reach

This year, we have an opportunity make real progress toward building a new energy economy -- to reduce global warming pollution, create jobs and improve the quality of life in the Granite State. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation wants to re-introduce passenger rail service linking Concord, Hooksett, Manchester, Bedford (for the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport), Merrimack, and Nashua with Boston.

The New Hampshire Capitol Corridor will:

  • Be a catalyst for regenerating our downtowns (developers are already getting on board)
  • Create good jobs and new business opportunities
  • Help protect our environment
  • Reduce congestion on our highways
  • Be an important public service at a time when so many of our fellow residents are struggling and we all need to pull together.

The state's business and community leaders are asking for your support to help make it happen. We can make this happen, but only if everyone takes a moment to make their voices heard and spread the word. Clean Water Action New Hampshire is working together with allied organizations including New Hampshire Business for Transportation and Infrastructure and Conservation Law Foundation toward a goal of getting 100,000 petition signatures by the end of this month in support of the NH Capitol Corridor. Will you take a moment today and sign this petition?

Please take a moment to take the following steps:

  1. Sign the online petition.
  2. Join an open Facebook and LinkedIn group called "Support Rail in New Hampshire: The New Hampshire Capitol Corridor.

  4. Ask them to forward this message to all of their contacts and to join Clean Water Action New Hampshire's Facebook Group to keep informed about this and other water, energy and toxics issues.

All it takes is a few clicks to sign up and pass this message along. With your support, we can do this; without it, we can't.
