Environmental justice requires decisionmaking that respects the rights of all to live in healthy communities. NJ Environmental Federation and Clean Water Action members get involved by calling and writing their public officials, urging support for enviromental and health protection policies.

  - Canvassing (door-to-door organizing) is the heart and soul of our organization--it our members the tools to act to protect what they care about and it is their actions that gives us the power to make a difference. In New Jersey alone, our canvassers helped to gather more than 30,000 hand-written letters to lawmakers in just one year. Not only is canvassing a great job, you also help make a difference in your community and help change the world.

  - We work in coalition with diverse groups to advocate for environmental justice. Environmental Justice means helping protect urban communities from the disproportionate impacts of pollution.
