Edward A. Clerico, PE, LEED AP, CEO of Alliance Environmental LLC , is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey, a LEED Accredited Professional and has over 30 years experience with water resource management projects. He holds BS and MS degrees from Rutgers University in Bio-Resource Engineering.
Mr. Clerico was the project water resource engineer for The Solaire; America's first green residential high rise located in Battery Park City and has subsequently been involved in five similar projects in Manhattan. These projects include water reuse for irrigation of parkland and landscaping as well as for reuse as toilet flush water, cooling tower make-up water and laundry supply water within the buildings. Mr. Clerico is a recognized expert in the area of water reuse, has authored several journal articles on the topic and has lectured at the New York Academy of Science and currently serves on the NYC Department of Buildings, Buildings Sustainability Board. Mr. Clerico has also provided testimony to the United States Congress, House Committee on Science and Technology and to the subcommittee on Energy and Environment in legislative hearings [Click here to view presentation] . He was acknowledged in the American Museum of Natural History's exhibit, "H20=Life", Water is Life, for his contributions in this area.
