Take Action: Help Get 218 To Keep Our Water Clean
California
The bi-partisan Clean Water Restoration Act (H.R. 2421) is closer than ever to passing in the House. This legislation restates and clarifies the original intent of the Clean Water Act -- to protect all waters of the United States. The bill needs 218 votes to pass the U.S. House. It then moves to the Senate.
Industry lobbyists are pressuring members of Congress to withdraw their support for the Clean Water Restoration Act. This bill needs 218 votes to pass the House this Fall. That means it needs every co-sponsor it currently has.
If your Representative isn't co-sponsoring the Clean Water Restoration Act urge him or her to do so. If your Representative is a co-sponsor, send a note of thanks and ask him or her to work to get other members of Congress to support this important bill!
