Line 3 is a pipeline expansion to bring millions of barrels of tar sands oil per day from Canada through Minnesota and to the Wisconsin shores of Lake Superior. Clean Water Action opposes Line 3 - the pipeline threatens our communities, our health, our water, our climate, and violates treaty rights of Anishinaabe peoples and other nations in its path.
President Biden has taken strong actions against fossil fuels and climate change during his first days in office, including cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline. We believe that he should do the same thing with Line 3.
The pipeline’s impacts on our economy, natural resources, and public health, and its violations of Indigenous rights, are unacceptable. Line 3 puts Minnesota’s waters at risk and the last thing we need right now is new fossil fuel infrastructure when we should be investing in clean, Minnesota produced, renewable energy. Minnesota Governor Walz has has refused to follow the science and issued the final state permits for Line 3 - but the people of Minnesota are standing strong against this pipeline. We are calling President Biden to stand with us.
Add your voice and ask President Biden to use his authority to stop Line 3.
