Quantia was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a Masters of Public Health in Environmental & Occupational Health from LSU-Health Sciences Center School of Public Health and a Bachelor's of Arts in Biology from Bard College. As a life-long resident of New Orleans Quanita experienced how socio-economic status, race, and ethnic background influence the health and wellness of a low income community. She also witnessed the cyclic nature of disease and poor environmental health plague communities likes her own all over the country.
Quanita's core interest lay in the ways in which proper water management and alterations to the current built environment may positive impact disease burden, economic growth, and quality of life of under-served communities. Educated as a scientist and health professional Quanita hopes to craft her time at Clean Water Action to help bridge the gap between environmental policy, science, and the environmental community in the Philadelphia region.
