Don’t Take Oil and Gas Protections Back to the 80’s

The state legislature is moving bills (SB 1088/HB 2154) that would roll back protections for shallow oil and gas drilling to 1984 standards.

Today, most oil and gas drilling is done through fracking, which uses toxic chemicals and large volumes of water, disturbs land, and generates hazardous waste, regardless of whether it’s done in shallow depths or deep in the Marcellus Shale.

Email your state representative and state senator today and tell them to oppose this legislation.
