Support Efforts to Protect Pittsburgh Water from Lead

Due to aging infrastructure and corroded lead service lines, the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority (PWSA) is delivering drinking water with high levels of lead to thousands of Pittsburgh residents. Water contaminated with lead is a serious health threat and the only way to truly ensure our safety is to fully replace all lead service lines.

PWSA has already committed to replacing all lead pipes, but the process could take decades. The City of Pittsburgh needs to keep us safe in the meantime by distributing lead filters to everyone at risk and providing additional funding to PWSA to speed up the process. Tell City Council to support efforts to protect us from lead in our drinking water.
