Baltimore City Investigative Hearing on Municipal Composting

The Judiciary & Legislative Investigations Committee will hear resolution 19-0139R, Investigative Hearing - Municipal Composting on May 7th at 10:30am.



The Committee will hear agency reports and public testimony on the legislation. Written testimony may be submitted in advance by emailing Matthew Peters at Matthew.Peters@baltimorecity.gov. For anyone interested in giving oral testimony, they should arrive at City Hall at 9:45am with ID. They can sign up to testify on the 4th floor.



Investigative Hearing - Municipal Composting



For the purpose of inviting the Director of the Department of Public Works, the Head of the Bureau of Solid Waste, the Director of the Office of Sustainability, the Coordinator of the Office of Sustainability, and the City Arborist to update the City Council on the City’s progress toward creating a municipal composting program, to provide a fiscal impact statement on creating the program, and to estimate a time line for Citywide implementation of municipal composting.
