Democracy and Environment at stake in the Michigan Attorney General race

October 27, 2022

When Dana Nessel was sworn in as Michigan’s Attorney General in January of 2019, an era of overdue reform and renewed advocacy for the people of Michigan began. For years before, the Attorney General’s office had largely served to protect corporate interests at the expense of Michigan residents and the natural resources on which we all rely.

Be a Minnesotan Clean Water Voter!

October 27, 2022

There are less than two weeks until the midterm election! Every election is important, and this one will be pivotal in the fight for clean water, protecting democracy, and environmental justice. With every single State House and State Senate seat up for election, as well as statewide elections for governor and lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and state auditor, this will be a huge opportunity to shift the balance of power in Minnesota. By electing environmental champions, we can push through important issues to protect water, climate, and people.

Democracy, Environment, and You

October 17, 2022

I’m Eric Benson, Clean Water Action’s NJ Campaigns Director. I’ve been in the advocacy business for a long time, but I have a confession to make. When I was in college I was a bad voter, I just didn’t show up. Knowing what I know now though, every election feels more important than the last. And right now, I’m feeling like the soul of a country and the fate of our planet are on the ballot this November.

In early 2016 I was out with some colleagues and one of them said, “We elected Reagan twice, Trump could win.” I chuckled and said “OK, boomer” to myself.

Welp...

As my friend, Neil, recently wrote, everything we thought could happen under a Trump administration has. And then some.
